There are many people who are trying to get an online business up and running as well as holding down a full time job, bringing up a family, and looking after elderly parents.
There may be times when you just feel too overwhelmed with other things going on in your life and you just can't find time for any of your online business - and things easily begin to slip once its been left a day or two - and then it's a week since you have done anything. Then maybe 2 weeks have gone by and a bit of panic sets in so you do loads in one go - then it gets left again. And so a pattern is set. It maybe that some people think they just don't have time to fit it all in... so just drop the online business and their dreams of financial freedom and get back to what they were doing before. This is very common but it doesn't have to be like this.
One thing everyone who is setting up an online business should do, is sit down and work out how much time they can give on a daily basis. Don't worry about what anyone else is doing or achieving - you need to set what is right for you and what fits in with your lifestyle. It's a bit like running a race. Do it at your own pace and you will get to the finishing line? Some people will be in front and some will be behind (apart from if you are first or last of course!) but it doesn't matter so long as you get there in a time that suits you. Next time you can make improvements.
However, if you want your online business to work, you need to find regular time to do it as it won't happen by itself. It will take work and effort on your part - that is just the fact of the matter. We all have 24 hours in a day and sometimes we need to look at how we spend our time - much like how we spend money. Is it spent wisely or is it wasted? Look at your time and see how you can fit in at least one hour a day. If you can do more then great!
It may mean:
* getting up earlier each day
* watching less TV
* doing less housework (get someone else to do it, or just don't do so much)
* not popping into the pub after work
* not doing whatever you feel is not achieving your goals - whatever that may be
Doing one thing (at least) every day may not seem much, but think about it this way. In one years time you will have done 365 more "things" (at least).
If you do nothing...
"If you do what you've always done, you'll get what you've always gotten."
